Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Parts Assembler on behalf of our client based in Dunmow but will be relocating to Horizon 120, Braintree in May 2005, on a temporary to permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for following a detailed inspection procedure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Air bubbles, marks, inclusions, cracks, dents, scratches, using height gauges, cleanliness, electrical insulation & continuity testing.
  • Use of hand tools (measure to length, use sider cutters, spanners, Allen keys etc.)
  • Detailed repeatable soldering, measuring to length, cutting and stripping coloured cable, handling small components
  • Masking and sand blasting components
  • Ultrasonic clean and preparing moulds and components. Apply release agent and assembly.
  • Apply release agent and assemble small moulds
  • Weighing out and mix epoxy resin and hardener
  • Use of vacuum systems to fill moulds with resin
  • Align and glue components
  • Follow detailed inspection procedure: Air bubbles, marks, inclusions, cracks, dents, scratches, using height gauges, cleanliness, electrical insulation & continuity testing.
  • Work to a job list, though jobs and demand vary from day to day as set by the department supervisor.
  • Follow written work instructions & very basic wiring diagrams
  • Follow Health and safety procedures - use of suits, gloves, respirators, safety shoes, local extraction
  • Observe high level of cleanliness
  • Occasionally moving finished items, up to 10kg, down a stair well.
  • Write concessions and mark up works orders when required.
  • Pack finished products
