The Role:As Site Agent, you will:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of highways projects.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, adhering to all relevant specifications and drawings.
- Manage and motivate site teams, including subcontractors and operatives.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets.
- Manage materials and resources effectively.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve on-site issues and problems effectively.
- Ensure that all work complies with the project specifications and drawings, including adherence to Section 278 Agreements.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or equivalent role within the highways sector, with demonstrable experience in managing projects under Section 278 Agreements. This is an essential requirement.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of highway construction, including earthworks, drainage, surfacing, and other related activities.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices within the highways sector.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate site teams.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in using relevant site management software and reporting systems.
