Area Manager - Contract Catering

Salary: £41,958 + Company Car
Location: Middlesborough, Durham & Newcastle

We're thrilled to be partnering with a highly respected, owner-operated contract catering company - celebrated for their personal approach, locally sourced produce, and exceptional customer service across the Education, Business & Industry, and Care sectors.

With a proud, growing reputation, they're now looking for an experienced Area Manager to join their vibrant team!

About the Role:
As Area Manager, you'll oversee between 10-15 sites, ensuring every location not only meets but exceeds expectations. You'll report to a supportive and experienced Operations Manager and play a vital role in shaping daily operations, growing client relationships, and leading talented teams.

Your enthusiasm for food, service excellence, and people development will be key to your success.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading the day-to-day operations across multiple sites in Sheffield and Rotherham.
  • Building strong, trusted partnerships with clients - especially within the Education sector.
  • Inspiring, motivating, and coaching multi-site teams to deliver the very best in food and service.
  • Maintaining high standards while championing a flexible, non-corporate working style.
  • Acting as a vital link between sites and Head Office functions such as HR, Accounts, and Purchasing.
  • Monitoring site performance and driving continual improvements in quality and service.
  • Quickly solving problems to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

  • Proven multi-site management experience in contract catering - ideally with education sector experience.
  • A passion for fresh, locally sourced food and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to unite and develop teams.
  • Strong communication abilities, both internally and client-facing.
  • Sound financial understanding, with experience producing detailed business reports.
