About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Complex Care Assistant to provide dedicated support for an individual requiring specialized medical and personal care. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PEG feeding, managing epilepsy, and oxygen therapy, ensuring safety, comfort, and a high quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with PEG feeding according to care plans and medical guidance

  • Monitoring and managing epilepsy, including seizure response and medication administration

  • Providing oxygen therapy support, ensuring equipment is correctly used and maintained

  • Supporting personal care and daily living activities with dignity and respect

  • Observing and reporting any changes in health or behavior promptly

  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided

  • Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals and family members

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in complex care, specifically PEG feeding, epilepsy management, and oxygen therapy

  • Relevant healthcare qualifications or training preferred (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care)

  • Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations

  • Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach

  • Flexibility and reliability

  • DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
