A great opportunity to lead a team of project managers, working on a wide range of projects from boutique incentives to large scale international conferences
The Company
This boutique-feel agency is a fast-growing creative events agency with a reputation for delivering exceptional, high-impact events around the globe. With an established and loyal client base, they produce everything from international incentive programmes and global conferences to standout corporate celebrations.
Proudly independent, the agency values transparency, collaboration, and creativity. Their in-house team of passionate event professionals manages every detail - from delegate management and venue sourcing to app builds and logistics for major conferences. They are trusted by their clients and supported by long-term supplier relationships, making for a warm, open, and supportive working culture where excellence is celebrated and new ideas are encouraged.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced, driven Head of Events who wants to make their mark in a dynamic, supportive, and highly creative agency. You'll lead a talented and passionate events team, overseeing the planning and delivery of global events and incentives. From pitching and budget sign-off to post-event reconciliation and people management, you'll be central to ensuring seamless delivery and strategic growth.
You'll work closely with the Managing Director to shape team structure, oversee training and development plans, manage resources across permanent and freelance staff, and act as the point of contact for high-profile clients. You'll also take part in interviews, conduct appraisals, and support new business development.
The agency offers plenty of scope for international travel, including onsite delivery and familiarisation (FAM) trips to discover new global venues. You'll be empowered to take creative ownership of your projects and be supported in your personal development.
The Candidate
We're looking for an inspiring team leader with strong project management skills and at least 10 years of experience in an events agency environment. You'll be confident in running both high-end incentives and large-scale conferences, with an excellent understanding of destinations and venues worldwide.
You'll be collaborative and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously. You'll know how to lead from the front, motivate your team, and be proud of the work you produce. You'll need to be hands-on when needed and unafraid to roll up your sleeves to support your team.
Key experience and attributes include:
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing events team
- Strong experience managing international incentives and conferences
- Deep knowledge of Cvent and event tech platforms
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
