re you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse looking for a rewarding locum role in Eastbourne?We have an exciting opportunity to join an Older Adults Mental Health Team, offering excellent pay, full-time hours, and the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting individuals aged 65+ in the community.

A Day in the Life of an Older Adult CPN:

Join a supportive and experienced community mental health team providing care to older adults living with dementia and complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out specialist mental health assessments in the community

  • Developing and reviewing care plans tailored to the individual needs of older adults

  • Delivering compassionate, evidence-based interventions to support patients and carers

  • Liaising with families, carers, GPs, and wider MDT teams

  • Supporting patients through medication management, risk assessments, and care coordination

  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to safeguarding processes

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse

  • Essential: Previous experience working with older adults and dementia

  • Strong communication, empathy, and clinical decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage a community caseload independently

  • Full UK driver's licence and access to a car required

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is 3 months ongoing, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and service need.
