About the Role

Supply Desk is recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Eastbourne. This full-time role begins ASAP and offers an excellent long-term opportunity, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will support students with a range of special educational needs, working both 1:1 and in small groups. The school promotes a nurturing and inclusive environment and seeks someone patient, proactive, and committed to helping pupils succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist the class teacher with adapted and differentiated learning

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Support behaviour management and pupil engagement

  • Offer academic and emotional support tailored to individual needs

  • Work effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

Requirements
  • Experience working with children (SEN experience desirable)

  • Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships

  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
