Accounts Assistant

Salary: to £30,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who is proficient in managing purchase ledgers, payroll, and subcontractor invoices. This role is ideal for someone who values precision and efficiency in their work. The position offers stable hours and is suited for individuals who are looking to contribute to a team without the immediate ambition for advancement.
Day-to-day of the role:
Accounts Payable Management:
- Handle end-to-end accounts payable tasks.
- Enter supplier invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
- Address and resolve disputes related to invoices efficiently.
Payroll and Timesheet Administration:
- Collaborate with the construction team to manage weekly timesheets.
- Manage agency timesheets, ensuring accuracy before submission.
- Process weekly salary wages by entering timesheet data and coordinating with our accountant for submission.
Subcontractor Invoice Management:
- Work alongside the commercial team to manage subcontractor invoices.
- Ensure invoices are entered accurately and passed to the commercial team for approval.
General Administrative Duties:
- Responsible for filing, scanning, and storing invoices to maintain organized records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Excel, Email, Sage, and Construct software.
- Strong experience in managing purchase ledgers, payroll, and handling subcontractor invoices. CIS experience is desired.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
