This H&S Officer position is working for a food manufacturer in the Eastleigh area. The working hours for the role are 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role is paying up to £42,000 depending on experience.

The Health and Safety Officer will lead all Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability activities across a busy food manufacturing site. You’ll ensure compliance with HSE legislation, manage risk assessments, oversee accident investigations and drive continuous improvement in safety standards. The role involves maintaining audit plans, implementing safe systems of work, coordinating training and managing contractor safety. You’ll also monitor environmental performance, maintain permits, ensure compliance with waste, emissions and water regulations, and report key environmental KPIs. A key part of the role includes developing and delivering sustainability strategies, promoting energy efficiency, reducing carbon impact and engaging employees in responsible manufacturing practices.

You will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing environments (Preferably food)
  • Ideally both NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation
  • A proven track record in driving sustainability
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills
