Location: Eastleigh
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (APPROX)
Salary: up to 32,000 (DEO)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Coordinator to join a well-established team in Southampton. Our client specialises in International Freight Management, including movements by air, sea and road. This role would suit a candidate who is passionate about logistics and enjoys working in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Freight Forwarding operations, with experience dealing with either sea, road or air freight, imports/exports and customs clearance procedures. Multi-modal would be ideal.

Your key responsibilities as a Freight Coordinator:

  • Complete start-to-finish consignments by sea, air and road freight
  • Building strong working relationships with clients/shipping lines & agents, good negotiation skills, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
  • Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
  • Completion of customs procedures
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade compliance laws
  • An aptitude for sales is desirable
  • Must have experience working with a UK Based freight forwarder
