Quality Manager
Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking for your next step into management? This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a leadership role where you'll take ownership of the quality function, manage a small team, and help shape the future of quality in a well-established engineering business.
The Opportunity
Joining as Quality Manager, you'll report directly to the Managing Director and be given the autonomy to make a real impact. You'll lead the quality team, oversee audits and customer requirements, and develop the Quality Management System in line with EN 9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to step up from a Quality Engineer/Senior Quality role into a management position while still staying close to the detail.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the quality team day-to-day whilst still being hands-on and driven.
- Taking ownership of the QMS, audits, and certifications.
- Driving continuous improvement and embedding quality across the business.
- Managing customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Supporting supplier quality and performance.
- Reporting on KPIs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What You'll Need
- Experience as a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality role within manufacturing or engineering.
- Knowledge of EN 9100 and ISO 9001.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification.
- Strong problem-solving skills (e.g. 8D, FMEA, SPC).
- Confidence to engage with stakeholders, auditors, and customers.
Desirable Extras
- Exposure to aerospace, defence, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
- Experience supporting supplier quality.
