Security/CCTV Engineer - Rail Infrastructure

Location: Multiple sites across South West Railways

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Security/CCTV Engineer to support installation and commissioning works across train stations and control centres within the South West Railways network.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of new CCTV and security equipment, as well as configuring, testing, and commissioning systems to meet operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install CCTV and associated security systems at rail sites and control rooms

   

• Configure and commission equipment including network setup and diagnostics

   

• Conduct testing, fault finding, and system optimisation

   

• Ensure compliance with technical standards and industry regulations

   

• Work flexibly across multiple locations as required

   

Requirements:

• Proven experience in CCTV/security system installation and commissioning

   

• Strong technical understanding of security infrastructure

   

• Rail or transport environment experience highly desirable

   

• Full UK driving licence preferred

   

• Flexibility to travel across the South West Railways network
