About the Role:

We are working in partnership with a well-established Orthodox Jewish secondary school to recruit a committed and respectful Science Teacher. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and an A level specialism, tailored to meet the needs of pupils within a culturally observant setting.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with a modified curriculum that is sensitive to the ethos of the school.

  • Teach general science across KS3 and GCSE-level science at KS4 (Triple or Combined, depending on cohort).

  • Teach an A level Science specialism
  • Create a respectful and supportive classroom environment that promotes both academic excellence and strong values.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure content aligns with community expectations, particularly around topics such as origins of life and reproduction.



Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; NQTs and experienced teachers welcome.

  • Respect for the religious and cultural values of the Charedi Jewish community.

  • Willingness to adapt curriculum content as necessary in line with school guidelines.

  • Prior experience working in faith schools is an advantage.

  • Strong classroom management and a calm, nurturing approach.
