Reed accountancy are working with a fantastic organisation who are a leading provider in their industry who are looking to hire an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic finance team on a permanent full-time basis.

Role Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth processing of supplier invoices and payments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Assisting with payment runs and maintaining accurate records
  • Matching, batching and coding
  • Processing credit notes
  • Assistant the head of department with key tasks
  • Ensuring VAT is accounted for on all invoices
  • Supporting month-end close activities
  • Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
