Temporary Vacancy – Finance Assistant

Duration: 1 months

Location: Edinburgh, EH2 (on-site)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Hourly Rate: £15 (£16.81 including holiday pay)

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the administration of accounting and financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on supporting our commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general commercial support to the team, working to deadlines and liaising with the supply chain on invoicing and finance-related queries.
  • Administer accrual and prepayment schedules for month-end CVR reporting of Revenue and Gross Income.
  • Raise monthly client invoices and track/report on monthly WIP and Debt movements.
  • Review, validate, and obtain approval for invoices, ensuring payments are made in accordance with the Fair Payment Charter.
  • Take ownership of issues, ensuring work is followed through to completion and chasing when necessary.
  • Support the delivery of KPIs and carry out various ad-hoc duties and administration as directed.
  • Accurately process and record project income and expenditure.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in an administration role within a financial environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly at an intermediate level.

Due to the nature of the role, we require candidates who can be available at short notice.
