Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting a respected and long-established Independent Chartered Accountancy firm in Edinburgh with the appointment of an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their growing team.

The Role

This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking a varied and rewarding role. The position blends audit, accounts preparation, charity independent examinations offering a well-rounded managerial opportunity within a dynamic team.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing statutory audits across a range of sectors.
  • Leading accounts preparation for non-audit limited companies and other entities.
  • Reviewing corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff, with more complex returns reviewed in conjunction with the firm's Tax Director.
  • Overseeing independent examinations for charity clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Hold a professional qualification (CA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Have solid experience in public practice environment.
  • Possess a working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102.
  • Be confident managing a mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Be proactive, organised, and a natural team player.
