Role: Portfolio Manager

Our leading Financial Services client is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join their Edinburgh team for a 12-month initial contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial oversight across a portfolio of change initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking spend against plan.
  • Use Excel confidently to manage and analyse financial data, supporting reporting and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with programme and project managers to ensure financial governance and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support portfolio-level reporting, risk management, and resource planning.
  • Engage with stakeholders across finance, change, and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management processes and tools.

Required Skillsets:

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel - comfortable with formulas, data manipulation, and reporting (expert-level not required).
  • Experience in a finance-related role, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
  • Previous experience managing or supporting change portfolios is beneficial.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in banking or financial services is essential.
  • Previous experience with NatWest is desirable but not required.

Location: Edinburgh (hybrid working - approx. 2 days per week in the office)

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 12 months
