Salary: £19.50 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Description: Blue Arrow is seeking a confident and skilled Sous Chef to work with a leading provider of corporate catering services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to thrive in a corporate catering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Oversee food inventory and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume catering or corporate environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative and innovative approach to menu development.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
