Blue Arrow are currently recruiting a Cleaning.Working pattern: Mon-FriStarting in end of May. Purpose of Role: To support the Residences Team during the Summer period including student departures, commercial summer bookings and student arrivals. To participate in the day-to-day programmes of cleaning work within the allocated areas of the Heriot Watt University to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition and commercial and student business is delivered to a high standard.To actively contribute to the successful delivery of excellent service to all students, staff and visitors across the university.Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities:* Supporting with day-to-day responsibility for cleaners, directing, supervising, training and motivating to deliver the cleaning schedule for all the designated areas* Supporting with planning and implementing daily work schedules and staffing levels in keeping with the demands of the business* Using relevant systems to accurately report residences updates, maintenance and security incidences.* Ensure all buildings, residences, offices, classrooms etc served by the team deliver a positive impression and are maintained to meet customer expectations and service level agreements* Support with quality control inspections, audits of accommodation and follow up where required.* Manage stock and linen levels and be accountable for same.Education, Qualifications & Experience: Desirable* Educated to HND level or similar or equivalent experience * Experience of working within a similar environment as outlined above * Experience or relevant qualifications in the hospitality industry* Good numeracy and IT skills* Competent in the use of relevant IT packages * Well-developed interpersonal skills * Demonstrable professional and proactive approach* Demonstrable ability to work quickly, flexibly and accurately in a dynamic, changing and pressured environment* Demonstrable provision of excellent customer service * Willingness to learn
