Our client, a renowned innovator in ground investigation services, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to become their next Trainee Project Manager (Contracts). The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Skills: Understanding of project management, contract management, and technical excellence. Ability to coordinate and execute ground investigations, manage costs, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong communication skills internally and externally, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Qualifications: BSc (MSc preferable), Chartered Status (or working towards), SMSTS and CSCS Management qualifications desirable, Risk Assessment Appreciation Training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute ground investigations.
  • Manage contracts, ensuring delivery of projects on time and maximizing profits.
  • Contribute expertise and provide input into the planning stage of new projects.
  • Ensure follow-up on payments for works completed.
  • Monitor costs in relation to individual contract works.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports.
  • Assist the HSEQ Advisor in investigations into accidents and incidents.
  • Allocate staff to projects, ensuring all personnel are competent, medically fit, and have correct certification.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and directors.
  • Develop personal objectives and participate in professional growth opportunities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental accreditations.
  • Monitor contractual and assurance performance.
  • Ensure electronic access to all relevant projects is kept up to date.

Travel Requirements:

Predominantly office-based with occasional site meetings to assess progress and meet client representatives. Based out of Glasgow office.
