Information Technology Lawyer (2-5 years')

A leading international law firm is seeking to appoint a Qualified Solicitor to join its Legal Tech & Transformation team, based in Edinburgh.

This team plays a central role in the firm's strategic approach to innovation, combining legal expertise with technology and process design to deliver enhanced services to clients across sectors such as financial services, energy and infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor who is keen to work at the forefront of legal change, supporting the development and implementation of technology-led legal solutions. Prior experience in legal technology is not essential – comprehensive training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of innovative legal solutions across a variety of client projects
  • Collaborating with colleagues across legal, project management and technology teams
  • Assisting with the preparation of proposals, pitches and materials related to legal innovation
  • Contributing to the scoping, testing and deployment of digital tools to enhance legal service delivery
  • Participating in internal and external training and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ PQE, ideally gained within a commercial law firm
  • An interest in legal technology, innovation, or legal service design
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across remote and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Willingness to develop skills outside traditional legal practice
