Accounts Assistant - Full Time

Location: Pentcaitland, East Lothian

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Salary: 30,000 - 32,000, dependent on experience

This is a dynamic, hands-on role with a strong emphasis on transactional finance and credit control. Your Key Responsibilities

Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across multiple accounts.
Sales Ledger: Process customer invoices, allocate payments, and resolve queries efficiently.
Purchase Ledger: Match, batch, and code supplier invoices; prepare timely payment runs.
Credit Control: Monitor aged debt, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain positive customer relationships.
Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring proper authorisation and invoice matching.
Invoicing: Generate accurate sales invoices aligned with contractual terms.
Commercial Finance Support: Assist with reporting, margin analysis, and broader finance initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts role.
Solid understanding of transactional finance processes.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
