Lorien's leading banking client is seeking a Release Train Manager for a hybrid role based in Edinburgh or Manchester, requiring one day a week on-site.

This position is offered via Umbrella, with a competitive salary of £70,000 to £80,000 per year.

Release Train Manager

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Release Train Manager to join them, this role will be Managing the delivery of multiple streaming/real-time data deliveries, typically driven by real-time communication use cases (app notifications, SMS and E-mail) or operational dashboards/reporting.

You will be Managing a Feature Team of ~10 individuals (analysts, engineers, testers), ideally with Tech Delivery experience.

This role is based in Edinburgh or Manchester.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 1 day a week on site.

Key Skills and Experience

Experienced in managing the delivery of multiple cross function tech/data projects in large organisations, including planning, RAID management and Agile Release Train sync (preferred).
Strong stakeholder management.
Change management/governance experience (security assessments, operational readiness, change requests, impact assessments etc).
Co-ordination and completion of delivery estimates.
Agile methodology, Jira, PI Planning, Agile ceremonies etc.
Proactively looks for opportunities to reduce timescales, challenging where necessary.
Takes ownership of blockers/issue resolution and escalating where necessary.

Delivery experience involving any of the below technologies would be preferred or alternative data streaming/near real-time technology:

Kafka

Stream Sets
AWS Hosted Environments and Services (EMR, S3)
Snowflake
