The role involves responsibilities such as preparing monthly management accounts, statutory year-end accounts, and business partnering with stakeholders.
Candidates should have ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications and previous experience in audit or financial accounting, with a focus on career progression.
This position offers future succession planning for the Financial Director role and emphasizes driving profitability through financial planning and analysis.
The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should ideally have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

International services company based in Elland is looking to recruit a talented qualified accountant seeking a move from practice or industry to work under and be mentored by an experienced Financial Director. This role offers future succession planning for the Financial Director post.

This is a key role in driving profitability and adding commercial value through financial planning and analysis. Working directly with the Finance Director the role offers a mix of both the financial, team management and commercial responsibilities including:

Preparation of monthly management accounts with analysis of performance versus budget.
Prepare statutory year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.
Business partner with stakeholders gaining an understanding of business trends.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain Fixed Asset Registers
Work with the FD on budgeting and forecasting.
Support the Financial Director and Managing Director to develop and improve profitability.
Ensure adequate financial controls are in place.

The ideal candidate will be;

ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
Previous experience within audit/financial accounting within the profession or management accountant/financial accounting experience within industry.
Keen to develop and secure the career progression.
