The Role

As our Care Training Manager, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that support care staff at all levels, from induction to continuous professional development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring in-depth knowledge of adult social care, CQC requirements, and the practical skills needed to excel in domiciliary care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, including induction, mandatory training (e.g., Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, Medication)

  • Develop and maintain training materials that reflect best practices and current legislation.

  • Work with Registered Manager to identify training needs and ensure compliance with CQC regulations

  • Support the implementation of the Care Certificate and other qualifications

  • Maintain accurate training records and produce reports for management and audits.

  • Mentor and coach staff to embed a culture of continuous learning and excellence in care.

  • Oversee e-learning platforms and manage blended learning approaches.

  • Support recruitment and onboarding by assessing candidate suitability for frontline roles through training engagement.

What We Need:
  • Proven experience in a care training role, ideally in domiciliary or home care.

  • Recognised training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PTLLS or equivalent).

  • Solid knowledge of adult social care regulations, particularly around safeguarding, medication, and person-centred care.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Organised, proactive, and passionate about raising care standards.

  • Driving licence and willingness to travel locally
