Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people with complex SEMH needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- HLTA qualification (essential)
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Experience working in SEMH school settings or with children with additional needs
- A genuine passion for supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Flexibility, resilience, and a nurturing approach to behaviour management
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned lessons and learning activities under the guidance of the teaching team
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them reach their potential
- Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
- Promoting a safe, engaging, and supportive environment tailored to SEMH learners
- Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
