Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Location: St. Neot's, Cambridgeshire

Daily Rate: £70-£85 per day

Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and experience with various special educational needs. This lovely school is located in the heart of St.Neot's and have strong links to the local community, the pupil in question in a year 3 pupil with ASD. His current LSA is moving away so the school are looking for a replacement starting in late May. This would be a full time position up until the end of the summer term (the school are confident that this will be a permanent role for the right person) 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in either EYFS, KS1 or KS2 
  • Strong behavioural skills 
  • A patient attitude with good social skills
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
  • Experience(desirable): Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), or Physical Disabilities (PD)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with autism
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met
