Depot Manager

Salary: £50k- £70k depending on experience plus car/allowance and bonus

Location: Cambridge

Following a period of significant growth, my client is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead operations across multiple sites.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing waste collections and processing operations, driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and delivering outstanding customer service.   

About the Role:

As the Depot Manager, you will oversee two sites, to deliver leadership to improve and deliver differentiated service, operational excellence, profitable growth, efficiency in process and infrastructure development.  This role will focus on service delivery, operational efficacy through vehicle productivity, process discipline and performance, customer growth internally and organically, compliance and safety and development of high-performance culture within operational teams. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing operational and customer service teams
  • Driving efficiency, profitability, and growth
  • Managing fleet performance, compliance, and safety
  • Shaping a high-performance, customer-focused culture

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar waste industry leadership role
  • Strong leadership and commercial skills
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
  • Experience managing compliance, fleet performance, and H&S

Desirable: CPC (Transport Management), WAMITAB/COTC certification
