We are looking for an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join the Child Protection / Child in Need service in Enfield. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Team Manager in overseeing a busy team working with vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising and supporting social workers managing complex CP and CIN cases

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and best practice standards

  • Overseeing assessments, care plans, and timely interventions

  • Chairing strategy discussions and contributing to case audits

  • Promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • SWE registration

  • Proven experience in managing or supervising CP/CIN teams

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989/2004

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
