Behaviour Support Assistant – (Full-Time) ASAP Start
Location: Enfield, Northt London
Salary: £475–£500 per week (dependent on experience and/or qualifications) — weekly pay (PAYE)
Start Date: Oct 2025/Immediate start

The Role

A specialist provision in Enfield, a short walk from Tukey Street station is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to support young people aged 7–16 who are currently outside of mainstream education to support a year 11 class. Many of the pupils have experienced disrupted learning, social challenges, or involvement with external agencies, and require a high level of pastoral care to help them thrive.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and personal development of vulnerable young people. As a Pastoral Mentor, you will be a trusted adult, helping students build resilience, develop positive relationships, and re-engage with education in a safe and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Building strong, supportive relationships to create a sense of trust and belonging

  • Providing pastoral support around emotional wellbeing, attendance, and safeguarding concerns

  • Encouraging positive decision-making and self-regulation strategies

  • Acting as a consistent role model, offering guidance and encouragement

  • Working closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic support plans

  • Promoting inclusion and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
