Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Enfield
Full Time | Term Time Only | January 2026
Up to 120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Enfield, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with a range of additional learning, communication, and emotional needs.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident working with older students, adaptable across subjects, and able to build positive relationships that support academic engagement and personal development. The school has an experienced SEN department and offers excellent support and training for staff in long-term roles.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group SEN support across KS3 and KS4
  • Assist pupils with learning tasks, communication, and classroom engagement
  • Support students with mild SEMH, ASD, speech and language, or learning needs
  • Help implement EHCP strategies and track pupil progress
  • Work closely with the SENCo, teaching staff, and pastoral team
  • Promote confidence, independence, and inclusion within the classroom


Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting students with SEND in a school or youth setting
  • A patient, adaptable and positive approach
  • Confidence working across secondary subjects
  • Understanding of safeguarding, learning plans and inclusive practice
  • Background in education, SEN support, youth work or mentoring (desirable)


Location and Transport - Enfield, North London

  • Accessible via Enfield Town, Edmonton Green, Southbury, Silver Street
  • Good transport links including Overground services and bus routes: 121, 307, 313, 191, 317
  • On-site parking typically available
