Overview:
Enfield Primary School, a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Enfield, is seeking a confident and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs. This role involves working closely with a child in a wheelchair to facilitate their learning and inclusion within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to a Year 1 pupil with Special Educational Needs, including assistance with academic tasks and daily routines.

  • Support the child’s physical needs associated with their wheelchair use and ensure their full participation in school activities.

  • Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff and specialists to implement tailored strategies that promote the pupil’s development.

  • Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times, including when moving around the school premises.
