About the Role:

The Recruitment Group are currently looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our clients production team in Evesham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the efficient packing of produce across various production lines. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety, and enjoy working as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you. Shift start times are 7am-finish working a 4 on 4 off rota within a 7 day operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all production line personnel adhere to food hygiene and health & safety policies.

  • Manage and oversee the efficient operation of multiple production lines, including Pro Seal, BBC Blueberry Grader, Unitec Grader, and Robots.

  • Conduct morning and end-of-shift checks to ensure all machinery is in proper working order before production begins.

  • Perform regular inspections of the production line to identify and remove any contaminants, ensuring product safety and quality.

  • Organize packaging materials and supplies, ensuring they are readily available for the packing process.

  • Complete tool changeovers with coordination from the maintenance team to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any machinery issues promptly.

  • Work closely with the production team to identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.

  • Contribute to the achievement of Line Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure lines are regularly cleaned and properly shut down at the end of the shift.

  • Participate in the ongoing development and success of the Packhouse Vision.

  • Carry out other duties as required by the role.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar production environment is advantageous, but not essential.

  • Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to quality and safety checks.

  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different departments.

  • A proactive attitude to identifying and solving problems.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
