Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced PCSO Qualification Assessor to join their team in Middlemoor, Exeter! About the Role:
As a PCSO Qualification Assessor, your primary goal will be to assess and guide our PCSO students as they work towards their Level 4 Diploma in Community Policing practise. This role is vital in ensuring that assessments are valid, reliable, and fair, helping learners achieve their professional development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess workplace competence with proficiency and fairness.
  • Interpret and implement assessment criteria for accredited qualifications.
  • Support and mentor learners throughout their development journey.
  • Plan and execute effective assessment activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Communicate assessment requirements clearly and evaluate progress against standards.
  • Develop personal development plans, fostering reflection and improvement.
  • Maintain meticulous records to meet audit requirements and justify assessment decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Department to enhance assessment practises.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusively throughout the assessment process.
  • Design and deliver bespoke learning solutions to meet organisational priorities.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance duties and provide constructive feedback to assessors.
  • What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A QCF Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in assessing workplace competence, particularly in neighbourhood policing.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • A valid UK driver's licence (reasonable adjustments considered for disabilities).

Desirable Skills:

  • Coaching qualification or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Equality, Diversity, and Human Rights, as well as Health & Safety legislation.
  • Familiarity with ICT tools and electronic portfolio management.
