Principal lawyer in Children and Adults Social care

The role has the following responsibilities:-• As delegated by the Assistant County Solicitor, to plan, lead, organise and manage a group of individual services functions, specialising particularly in litigation, planning law, childcare law, adult social care law or contract and procurement law representing the Client at all meetings in relation to contract and procurement issues, and judicial meetings in relation to the management of public law cases, in relation to childcare or adult social care and to manage a team of specialist lawyers.• To support the County Solicitor in any other duties she may determine.• Take part in the Legal Services’ Out of Hours service to provide assistance to the Emergency Duty Team on matters of Childcare and Adult Social Care

This is a full time role on a temporary basis.
