Job Title: Administrator (Legal Department)

Location: Exeter (outskirts)

Salary: £25,000- £27,000 DOE

Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

The Role

As the Administrator within the Legal Department, you will be working with and assisting the company's Paralegal, providing administration support across a variety of cases.

Duties include

  • Opening and maintaining files on the case management system online and paper filing system
  • Carrying out general administrative duties, such as answering incoming calls, responding to emails and post
  • On-going management of payment arrangements
  • Preparing templated letters before action and other demands, in compliance with relevant procedure and protocols
  • Preparing templated claim forms and particulars of claim
  • Liaising with company solicitors
  • Implementing and monitoring of payment arrangements
  • Maintaining full and accurate records in the Case Management System, including attendance notes, correspondence, advice and records of payments received

About you

  • No legal experience necessary
  • Some previous administration experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management and ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
  • A team worker
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office
  • A positive and fun disposition!
