With an established client base among a variety of bluechip clients, local authorities, developers and consultancies, the company is looking to add a Business Development manager to increase tender opportunities and grow the region.Business Development Manager - The Role:A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development/Sales specialist to work for a successful main contractor to help targeted business growth.
The company is looking to bring someone in with existing sales experience in business development within the wider Construction sector.Main Objectives: * Develop new market leads and new business opportunities.
* To identify new and strongly performing markets, engage with the key companies operating within these markets and secure opportunities to quote for and win new business. * Meet business secured workload targets. * Maintain existing client portfolio through account management.
* Build relationships with Clients and Consultants to improve retention rate.Duties and Responsibilities: * Undertake initial introduction customer meetings to showcase the company's skills and services. * Types of clients include Public Sector bodies, Architects, Building/PropertyFinding leads to new work and chasing them down to create tender opportunities.
Consultants, Cost Consultancies and Project Managers. * Work with the Customers Relationship Manager to develop strategies for converting opportunities into profitable revenue. * Monitor/track public notices/tenders and completion of PQQ’s as necessary.
* Input and track information and opportunities into company CRM. * Attend industry specific events and awards ceremonies. * Manage and interpret sales statistics and figures and set targets based on market analysis and research.
* Develop a joined-up networking system of both face-to-face meetings and other channels such as social media. * Engage with other Senior Managers in the business to ensure a streamline and coherent message illustrating Halsall’s growth and ethos. * Promote and support Company priorities.Business Development Manager - The Person * You will have solid experience with a construction related business, contractor, main contractor or specialist contractor or Construction supplier.
* Innovative - ability to identify better ways of doing things * A good communicator, able to liaise between different departments in order to achieve a common goal.
* Commutable to the Exeter office * UK driving license * Proven track record of business development and sales development within the construction industry. * Experience in SalesForce and Microsoft products. * Comprehensive industry knowledge (regulatory, technical and competitor).
