About the Role

Adecco is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police for a Modern Slavery & Organised Immigration Crime (MSOIC) Review & National Guidance Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping national law enforcement responses to Modern Slavery and Organised Immigration Crime.

You will be responsible for conducting reviews of police forces and law enforcement agencies, producing national guidance, and delivering high-quality reports that inform strategic decision-making and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct reviews of police force policies, strategies, and resources related to MS and OIC.
  • Produce national guidance documents and reports to support law enforcement improvements.
  • Liaise with the Home Office, College of Policing, CPS, HMICFRS, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor emerging issues and provide briefings to senior leadership.
  • Ensure training materials on Modern Slavery are current and widely accessible.
  • Represent the MSOIC Unit in national forums and contribute to strategic planning.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in investigating or managing crime.
  • Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel across England and Wales.
  • Experience working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • In-depth understanding of the Modern Slavery landscape, legislation, and policy.
  • Knowledge of operational policing processes and APP.
  • Familiarity with Modern Slavery networks and collaborating agencies.
  • Awareness of the UK's threat landscape related to MS and OIC.

Training & Conditions

  • Completion of Modern Slavery Course and Police Staff Induction.
  • Enhanced medical assessment required.
  • Exposure to disturbing evidence may be part of the role.
