We are pleased to be partnering with a growing SME, based in Whiteley, in their search for an Assistant Accountant to support the wider finance team. This role is initially for a 3-month temporary assignment but has the possibility to extend.The successful candidate will be eager to learn, have a strong transactional finance background, and be able to work across a range of teams.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all AR Invoices and Credits are raised by transaction team and reconciled
  • Preparing and providing accurate management information around cash collection
  • Resolve any Customer Queries on Invoices
  • Ensure that all AP invoices are processed and any queries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Reconciliation of the AP Ledger
  • Ensure Ledgers are closed on a timely basis and reconcile to the Balance Sheet

About you:

  • Experience / understanding of Credit Control & Sales Ledger
  • Ideally have experience of working in Purchase Ledger
  • Have working knowing of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Proactive approach
