Facilities AssistantFarehamFull-Time & Part time available. Full time 5 days a week at 37 hours. Part time 3 days a week.£12.45 pr hour6 Month ContractRole PurposeTo support the delivery of a defined customer focused, effective, safe, clean and secure FM services. Under direction undertake reception, post room and general office functions including the maintenance of FM information systems, enquiry handling, room bookings and portering duties, in order to satisfy building user requirements.

Liaise with colleagues over the response to and support for, building maintenance, security and events management.

Job DutiesRedirecting calls and enquiries to the most appropriate person. Assessing own workload and prioritising tasks under direction. Seeking guidance from appropriate contacts when appropriate. To instigate an appropriate response to an emergency first aid situationTo act as a fire marshal Operation of stair climber and evacuation equipmentAssist in the monitoring and control of routine information and other data to support processes and service level agreements.Liaison with customers and building users on routine services.Physically fit due to the moving and handling requirements of the role and standing for periods of time

Role Requirements and Experience

Ability to redirect calls and enquiries to the most appropriate person.

Ability to assess own workload and prioritise tasks under direction.

Seek guidance from appropriate person when appropriate.

To act professionally if handling sensitive information.

Some role holders may be exposed to potentially violent, volatile and abusive situations.

Role holders will need to be able to respond in a calm, sensitive and sympathetic manner.

Secondary education and attainment of GCSE or equivalent NVQ including maths and English (Grades A C).

Basic IT skills - Word/Excel/Outlook

Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Effective communications skills written and oral.

Able to fulfil the mobility requirements associated with the role.
