Buckland Development is delivering Welborne, a new generation sustainable Garden Village. We are delighted to have been instructed to assist them with recruiting part-time Welcome Centre Associates to join the Welcome Centre and Team.

Welborne has been inspired by the English Garden City movement of one hundred years ago which produced enduringly popular, well-designed and well-built places which are still thriving today. Buckland have taken the very best aspects of these and combined them with everything needed for life today.

They are creating an exciting new place to live, delivering homes and facilities in a way that reflects their long-term involvement and ongoing stewardship. Their new community of homes, shops, schools, green spaces, and a science and technology park will be a place that people are excited to visit and proud to call home. Based just outside Fareham in Hampshire, when completed there will be 6,000 homes in the village.

Welborne will be delivered using some time-honoured traditions of placemaking alongside some of the latest cutting-edge technology embedded within the homes. Buckland is supported in the delivery of Welborne by a number of regional housebuilders, each of whom will maintain an on-site sales team.

To help potential new residents understand the vision of the Welborne development and support the housebuilder sales teams, Buckland has built a Welcome Centre manned by a Welcome Team and assisted by the latest immersive visualisation technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Welcoming guests upon arrival to the Welcome Centre• Guiding guests throughout the Welcome Centre explaining the Welborne vision• Upkeep of the Welcome Centre including the day to day look and feel• Operation of the Welcome Centre’s immersion technology• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction• Liaison with the Welborne Garden Village Trust

Education, qualifications and experience:

• An understanding of residential property would be advantageous but not essential• Further professional qualifications desirable• Experience in a customer facing role• Technologically confident• Local insight considered beneficial• Empathetic communicator capable of telling the Welborne story• Strong organisational skills capable of managing customer interactions• Confident and welcoming personality• Professionalism and poise• Live locally to the development• Full UK driving licence and your own car.

This is a part -time position where the working hours will be from 9.30am to 5.30pm. You will be required to work a 3-day working week, incorporating 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day.

This role will come with a pro-rata salary package of £30,000. Our client is also offering an excellent benefits package which includes 25 days holiday, again pro-rata for this part-time position, private medical insurance, pension contributions, annual discretionary bonus, death in service, and more!
