We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development Manager for our successful and busy operation. This role is ideal for a sales professional who is ready to maintain and expand client relationships and ensure the growth of our operations across the UK, and abroad.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain commercial relationships with the existing client base and develop new business from customers based in the UK as well as overseas
- Conduct face-to-face visits with customers throughout the UK and the Channel Islands, requiring regular travel.
- Work closely with operational teams to align sales strategies with operational capabilities.
- Focus on winning new business and working towards agreed budget targets in line with the company's growth strategy.
- Strengthen market position by locating, developing, defining, promoting, negotiating, and securing new business opportunities.
- Minimum of 5 years' commercial sales experience, preferably in international groupage services or UK domestic distribution.
- Strong understanding of the international groupage market or UK domestic distribution.
- Proven business development skills and relationship building capabilities.
- Ability to independently plan and execute strategies with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, administration, and negotiation skills.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
