Job Title: Product Manager - Data (Outside IR35)
Location: London, Hybrid role
Contract: 6 months (with possible extension)
Day Rate: 400 - 500
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 40 hours per week (generally 9am-5pm)
Travel: Expenses covered for occasional visits to other UK sites

Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager with a strong background in data and innovation to join a forward-thinking energy business on a contract basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on identifying customer-centric solutions, building data-driven products, and leading strategic initiatives from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of data products with a focus on leveraging customer data to influence behavioural change.

  • Work closely with engineers and designers to solve real-world problems and deliver impactful technical solutions.

  • Build a platform that houses data models, with an immediate focus on a debt propensity model.

  • Design and run quick experiments and proof-of-concepts to validate user appetite and tech feasibility.

  • Use data and user insights to shape strategy and prioritisation.

  • Manage and influence key stakeholders up to executive minus one level, clearly articulating product value.

  • Set up control groups and define metrics to measure impact across the business.

  • Take calculated risks in experimentation and decision-making, with a strong understanding of commercial outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager in a data-driven or innovation-led environment.

  • Demonstrable prototyping and testing experience-must be hands-on with experimentation.

  • Experience collaborating directly with engineers and designers.

  • Deep understanding of customer behaviour and experience using data as evidence for prioritisation.

  • Ability to think strategically and commercially, beyond pure delivery.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Databricks (though you won't be required to design the tech solutions yourself).

  • Background in innovation or customer insight roles.
