We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Sales and Estimating Engineer to join a leading precision engineering and manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, delivering accurate quotations, and managing client relationships while promoting the company's manufacturing capabilities and approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing and new clients to drive profitable sales growth and maintain strong account retention.
- Convert opportunities within new and existing accounts, providing tailored engineering solutions to meet client requirements.
- Manage incoming orders, conduct contract reviews, prepare loading orders, create parts, and build Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Provide accurate estimates and quotations using customer drawings and technical data in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with suppliers to expand material options and secure contracts that safeguard margins.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth production flow, timely delivery, and adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Attend sales meetings and provide monthly reports on account activity, forecasts, and opportunities.
- Represent the business professionally, maintaining high standards of communication, customer service, and internal collaboration.
Candidate Profile:
- Apprentice-trained or minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC milling/turning.
- Knowledge of programming and engineering principles is advantageous.
- Experience within the aerospace subcontracting industry, including approvals and contracts, is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret detailed costing and estimates.
