ParalegalResponsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of documents
  • Proof reading and drafting documents
  • Drafting routine correspondence
  • Legal research – effectively utilise resources available and summarise findings and sources.
  • Client liaison – tracking and chasing information required and ensuring fee earners/partners are updated. Raising any issues encountered.
  • Locating documents and creating bundles
  • Project Administration: Map out stakeholders (internal/external) on matters, log timelines, deadlines and update records and fee earners/partners as required.
  • Maintain and update records on Insight.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and attending networking events
  • Generally assisting Partners and fee earners as required.
  • Collaborating and supporting the Operations Team as required by the OM/Supervising Partner in providing administrative/facilities support to ensure the smooth running of the offices.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet key L &D objectives through knowledge development.

Paralegal Skills and Experience:

  • Law degree or recent experience in a legal setting preferred (Practice or In-House)
  • Competent user of MS Office applications.
  • Keen to develop their legal expertise in commercial law.
  • Must hold an LLB/LLM or CILEX qualification
  • 6 months experience desirable but not essential
  • Proactive approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ambitious with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with HNW clients and their representatives.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Responsible and efficient in their duties, with the ability to work within a team and independently
  • Good IT skills and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and plan work appropriately so that deadlines are met
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional and positive attitude towards work
