Prospero Teaching are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive Mentor to support a Year 5 pupil in the Farnborough area.
As a Mentor, you will:
This young person is currently on a partial timetable and requires tailored support to help them thrive. The Mentor will play a key role in:
- Building self-esteem and confidence
- Engaging in light learning activities
- Fostering positive adult relationships
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
- Supporting emotional regulation and social skills
- Encouraging participation in learning tasks
- Liaising with school staff and other professionals as needed
About you:
- Experienced in working with children with SEMH needs
- Calm, nurturing, and resilient
- Able to build trust and rapport with young people
- Creative in engaging children in learning and play
- Reliable and committed to consistent support
About you:
- Have at least 1 year of experience working within UK schools
- Are confident in planning and delivering creative, learner-centred sessions
- Employs a nurturing, adaptable, and student-centred approach

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Trauma informed- desirable

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
