Finance Business Partner – Maternity Cover (until March 2026)

Pay: £29.59 per hour PAYE

Are you a qualified accountant looking to make an impact in a dynamic, high-profile organisation? We’re seeking a Finance Business Partner to join a leading Aerospace & Defence company on a maternity cover contract running until March 2026.
In this role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, budget owners, and the finance leadership team to deliver high-quality financial insight, analysis, and decision support. Acting as a trusted partner, you will provide proactive financial guidance to drive accountability, enable informed decisions, and support the delivery of key strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:-
Partner with business leaders to provide financial insight, challenge, and support.

Deliver monthly reporting and variance analysis with clear, actionable commentary.

Support annual budget setting and quarterly forecasting cycles.

Build and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and business cases.

Provide cost analysis and guidance to cost centre owners.

Prepare management reporting packs and contribute to Board-level reporting.

Drive process improvements and support system enhancements (D365).

Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent).

Strong business partnering experience with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.

Skilled in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting.

Confident communicator, able to simplify complex financial information for non-finance audiences.

Advanced Microsoft Excel user, with experience of MS Suite; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics an advantage.

Analytical, detail-focused, and comfortable working with large data sets.
