TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is supporting a fantastic and leading firm of chartered accountants based in Faversham in their recruitment for an Audit and Accounts Senior. Our client boasts a great working environment with a very experienced and friendly team. They have seen excellent growth over the last 5 years and are now looking to recruit an additional Audit and Accounts Senior into their team.

You will be exposed to a wide range of businesses, primarily focused on Ltd company, owner-managed businesses. You will have lots of responsibility and be offered an excellent work-life balance too.

This is a mixed audit and accounts opportunity and the split between both audit and accounts can be moulded around the individual. I.e from 50%/50% to pure audit.

You will work together with the wider team in a hands-on position to meet the needs of the clients and complete the audit before the manager or partner review. You should be able to delegate required tasks to junior members of the team and offer support and guidance where necessary, resolving technical questions that may arise.

  • Help plan and perform audits leading a team of junior auditors
  • Obtain background data for audit planning
  • Prepare & review financial statements
  • Ensure time budgets are maintained
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships
  • Supervise and assist junior staff
  • Liaise with other departments in order to efficiently and effectively help clients
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA fully qualified
  • 3+ years of practical audit experience
  • Excellent audit analysis skills
  • Competent planning and completion skills
  • Be up-to-date with technical knowledge including any recent changes
  • Computer literate - good Excel, Word and accounting software experience
