Job Purpose:
The Mechanical Assembly/Fitting Technician is responsible for assembling, fitting, and testing mechanical components and systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The role requires the assembly of parts into completed machines or systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all components meet technical specifications.
Location: Feltham
Salary: 28k- 30k
Role: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly of Components:
- Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and products using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as per engineering drawings and instructions.
- Install and fit parts such as motors, gears, bearings, and other mechanical elements into machinery.
- Ensure proper alignment, clearance, and functionality of mechanical systems during assembly.
- Testing and Inspection:
- Conduct functional and safety tests on assembled products to verify they meet performance and safety standards.
- Inspect for quality, identify defects, and take corrective actions to ensure products meet specifications.
- Document and report any non-conformance or issues during the assembly process.
- Technical Support:
- Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on designs and suggest improvements for ease of assembly and performance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues in the assembly process.
