Pay Rate: £36 per hourWe're looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join a dynamic Duty & Assessment team in the North West.This is your opportunity to make real impact, working with a supportive team and an experienced Team Manager, delivering high-quality interventions to children and families at the earliest possible stage.??? About the Role
  • You’ll be on duty every 5 weeks, providing crucial front-line assessments and safeguarding responses.
  • Work includes Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court Proceedings.
  • Collaborate with health, police, education, and early help teams for effective, multi-agency responses.
  • Join a local authority with a positive culture and a commitment to continuous improvement.
You’ll be part of a busy but supportive team that values reflection, offering monthly individual and group supervision.? Your Responsibilities
  • Complete robust assessments of risk, need, and safeguarding within statutory timescales.
  • Manage a varied caseload including duty cases, assessments, and ongoing interventions.
  • Create outcome-focused care plans that promote safety, stability, and long-term change.
  • Use your professional judgement to make timely, evidence-informed decisions.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in the process.
�? What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
  • 4+ years' experience in statutory children’s services
  • Strong background in Duty & Assessment, Child Protection, and Court Work
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of child safeguarding legislation
  • Skilled in working within a multi-disciplinary environment
